Birth in Windsor

Wherever you’re planning to give birth, I’ll meet you there

Windsor sits right between Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley, which means Windsor families have real choices about where to give birth. Some deliver at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies or Banner McKee in Loveland, some at Poudre Valley Hospital or Banner Fort Collins, some in Greeley, and some at home with a midwife. I support all of those, and I come to you for prenatal and postpartum visits so you’re not driving across the county with a newborn.

If you’re preparing for a natural birth, the Holistic Birth Class meets at Clearwater Church in Timnath, just west of Windsor. It’s taught with Kayla Young, a Certified Professional Midwife with Wildflower Midwifery, and it’s designed for couples who want to understand labor instead of just bracing for it.

And if what you need right now is feeding help, I offer in-home lactation visits in Windsor whether or not you hired me as your doula. Sooner is almost always better than later.

Questions & answers

Questions from Windsor families

Do you come to Windsor for prenatal and postpartum visits?

Yes. Prenatal visits, postpartum visits, and in-home lactation visits happen in your home in Windsor. Support sessions can also be held virtually if that’s easier.

Which hospitals do Windsor families usually choose?

Windsor families most often deliver in Loveland, Fort Collins, or Greeley, or at home. I support births in all of those settings and work alongside whichever provider you choose.

When should I reach out?

Most families hire between 12 and 20 weeks, but there’s no wrong time. I take a limited number of clients so each family gets real attention, so earlier helps if you want to be sure of availability.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

No. I’m a Christian, and I’m glad to pray with you, read Scripture, or weave faith into your birth if you want that. If you don’t, you’ll receive the same respect, care, and wholehearted support either way.
