Birth in Fort Collins
Hospital, birth center, or home — I’ll be there with you
Fort Collins families have several good birth options. Many deliver at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital or Banner Fort Collins Medical Center, others choose a home birth with a midwife, and some head south to Loveland. I support births in every one of those settings, and my job doesn’t change with the building: keep you informed, keep you comfortable, and keep your voice in the room.
Fort Collins is also a town full of good information — classes, books, podcasts, opinions from every direction. What a lot of mothers want isn’t more information. It’s someone who will help them sort it, pray through it, and make a plan they actually feel peace about. That’s a big part of what prenatal visits with me look like.
After your baby arrives, I come to you for postpartum visits and in-home lactation support anywhere in Fort Collins. And if you want to prepare with your husband before labor, the Holistic Birth Class meets just east of town in Timnath.
From a family I served
“We had an amazing experience with Jenny as our doula. She was a wonderful source of information and guidance in the months leading up to my daughter’s birth, and really helped my husband and me feel prepared. At my birth she was a comforting and grounding presence.”
Questions & answers
Questions from Fort Collins families
Do you attend births at Poudre Valley Hospital and Banner Fort Collins?
Yes. I support families delivering at Fort Collins hospitals, at home, and in nearby towns. I work alongside your OB or midwife and the nursing staff — never in place of them.
Do you offer in-home lactation support in Fort Collins?
Yes. I’m a certified Lactation Specialist and I come to your home for a 90-minute visit to watch a full feeding and build a plan with you. It’s available whether or not I was your doula.
Do you support epidurals and hospital births?
Absolutely. Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, an epidural, an induction, or a VBAC, I support you and the decisions you make with your provider.
Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?
No. I’m a Christian, and I’m glad to pray with you, read Scripture, or weave faith into your birth if you want that. If you don’t, you’ll receive the same respect, care, and wholehearted support either way.
